And with that, Marketing Week has come to a close. What a wonderful week full of fundraising, community service, and social events. A big thank you to all of the members that helped make this week amazing!
On Monday, we started out with a Hot Chocolate Night with Sensuous She, a local boutique in downtown Laramie. We are partnering with Sensuous She to help the owners with their marketing. We thought it would be an amazing opportunity to spread the word of Sensuous She around the University of Wyoming campus and bring people into the store with some free hot chocolate!
On Tuesday, we had a spaghetti dinner to raise money for the Laramie Soup Kitchen. Our AMA chapter feels very strongly about helping the community in any way we can. With the holidays drawing near, we knew the soup kitchen would be grateful for our contribution. We set up our dinner in the Business Atrium at school. It was $5 for all you can eat spaghetti. We are so excited that we got to support a local organization!
On Wednesday, our very own Vice President spoke on his experience with Altria. Matt has had an internship with Altria the last two summers and will now be working for them after he graduates in the spring. He spoke about the amazing opportunities that this company has brought to him and about all that he has learned. Thank you Matt for a great speech!
On Thursday, we got in some Halloween spirit by having a Halloween movie night. We watched The Nightmare before Christmas. This was a great opportunity to take a break from midterms and have some fun with our members! Thanks to everyone who made it a fun night!
On Friday, we had the opportunity to pie a professor in the face! When do you ever get to see that?! We raised money the whole week by students voting for who they wanted to see get pied in the face. This was a fundraising opportunity for our chapter. Bill Weber ended up getting the most money raised and got pied in the face!
Overall, we had an awesome week getting to share with the University all about our American Marketing Association Chapter. Thank you to all who participated, helped, and made this week AMAzing!
