12 members, 26 degrees, 34 bags of leaves.
Today, members got the opportunity to volunteer for The BIG Event. This is a University of Wyoming campus wide volunteering event, where students get the opportunity to help local businesses and community members. Each group gets assigned to a different location and a different job.
We had the AMAzing opportunity to help a sweet, older lady in the Laramie community rake her large yard full of leaves. This was a great opportunity for our members to building some team-working skills and grow closer as an AMA community. From standing in cold, long lines at check in to getting wet from the snow from the previous night, our team members fought through and we completed our task of raking 34 bags of leaves!
We are excited to see what our members will do for the next BIG Event. Stay tuned!
