MEET THE OFFICER TEAM

PRESIDENT

Wayne Lily

Wayne is currently a third year student here at the University of Wyoming. He is studying Marketing with a concentration in Customer Experience Management. He is currently representing AMA as the President of the University of Wyoming chapter. Wayne made the decisions to attend the University of Wyoming after his grandmother fell ill his senior year of high school. Wayne’s interests include hip hop music, soccer, and his pug Zoey. Wayne encourages students to join AMA to get a sense of what being a business profession is like while making great friends along the way. His most fond memory of AMA was attending the national conference in New Orleans last spring.

VICE PRESIDENT

Matthew Jarrett

Matthew is a senior at the University of Wyoming pursuing a degree in Management with a concentration in Consulting with minors in Marketing and Decision Science. He is a Wyoming native from the small town of Encampment. He chose the University of Wyoming because he loves the Laramie area and it is near to many great mountains and lakes. Matthew joined AMA in 2016 because he wanted to become more involved on campus and grow his network with industry professionals and students. He is now the Vice-President on campus and hopes to make a big impact to the RSO. Matthew feels that others should join the RSO because there are many opportunities for people to grow and learn with in AMA.

She is passionate about her community and relationships developed at the University. Alex has a variety of personal interests, some of which include, outdoor activities, traveling, painting, and listening to music. She believes that all students should participate in AMA – inside and outside of the College of Business. This organization is an excellent opportunity for volunteering, networking, and having fun too! She believes this club has benefited her most in developing her professional and interpersonal communication skills.

TREASURER

Kyle Sokell

Kyle is a sophomore at Wyoming studying Accounting. He chose AMA because it was a professional organization that could help him create great connections. He chose UW because it has cheap out-of-state tuition and it is a major university. When he came to tour the University of Wyoming, he knew it was the right college for him. Some of his hobbies include: going to the gym, going to sporting events like football and basketball, and listening to music. His favorite genres of music are country and rap. Kyle thinks that people should join AMA because of the connections and everyone is friendly. He knows that when people join, everyone is welcoming and open to new members. Another reason that Kyle thinks people should join AMA is because AMA is a great organization to put on your LinkedIn and Resume. He thinks the best part of AMA is the end of year reunions.

FUNDRAISING CHAIR

Morgan Brenneman

A current senior at the University of Wyoming, Morgan Brenneman is this year’s AMA fundraising officer. With a double major in Marketing and Spanish Culture and oddly a Zoology minor, she finds herself all over campus in different departments. Growing up in Sheridan, Wyoming, choosing to attend UW was simple because she was able to stay close to family and friends while still receiving the full college experience from a larger university as well as providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures. In her free time, Morgan enjoys hiking and camping and sleeping in parks, but come winter, she’d rather stay inside to watch The Office, cross-stitch, and draw. As a member of AMA, she finds her favorite part to be getting to know new people within the College of Business and around the community. Joining AMA is a great experience not only to help someone out in the business world by gaining essential skills, but by providing an outlet for students to test out what they’ve learned in class.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
CHAIR

Martha Nelson

Martha is a junior at the University of Wyoming pursuing a degree in Marketing and a minor in Sociology. She is from Arvada, Colorado but is also a citizen of Italy. She chose the University of Wyoming because it is a credited business school and loves how beautiful Wyoming is. Martha loves to travel and explore new things. She also loves sports, hiking, shooting, and is a french fry enthusiast. Martha joined AMA to get hands on marketing experience that could be applied in real world job scenarios. Thanks to being a part of AMA, Martha had an internship with Epsilon this summer in Lafayette, Colorado and was able to utilize her marketing skills. Martha thinks that other people should join AMA because it's a great way to get marketing experience that is more than in just a classroom setting.
